Covering the broadest spectrum of procedures and applications in diagnostic imaging, the Radiological Technologist uses highly specialized equipment to perform a wide variety of imaging procedures. The profession of Radiological Technology covers a number of specialties including: static and fluoroscopic imaging (bones, chests, spines and barium procedures), mammography, angiography, and computerized tomography (CT scans)and operating room procedures.

academic requirements: A Bachelor of Applied Science in Radiography is required. A period of supervised practical training and certification by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists is mandatory in Prince Edward Island.
